ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Jessica and I am a reporter with the Record-Journal. Journalism has always been my passion. I love telling others' stories, informing the public of important news and investigating deep stories that others may not know about.
In the summer of 2021, I was a fellow for News21, a national reporting initiative headquartered at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication that investigated how COVID-19 impacted different communities.
I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Quinnipiac University in May 2021 and was very active in student media, which led me to be the managing editor of the student newspaper, The Quinnipiac Chronicle, during my senior year. Then, I received my Master's of Science in Journalism from Quinnipiac in May 2022.
I also interned and freelanced for The Record-Journal, a regional newspaper based in Meriden, Connecticut, prior to becoming a full-time reporter.
As you can see journalism is important to me and I cannot wait to see where it takes me.
